Linn Poston, a 16-year-old paraclimbing champion and accomplished musician, excels in both climbing and music, winning national competitions and sharing their musical talents at local farmers’ markets and charity events.
About
Linn Poston, a talented and determined 16-year-old, has been breaking barriers and inspiring others from an early age. Adopted from China at the age of 2, Linn was still learning to walk when a family friend, who is a physical therapist, suggested activities like stair climbing and, eventually, rock climbing to help build core strength and confidence. What began as a way to improve physical abilities soon became a lifelong passion.
Now a celebrated paraclimber, Linn has won the American Paraclimbing Youth National Championship three years in a row. Most recently, Linn claimed victory at the renowned 2024 GoPro Games Bouldering Competition in Vail, Colorado, and followed it with an exciting win at the 2024 World Cup in Innsbruck, Austria.
Beyond climbing, Linn is an accomplished musician. As one of the top 10 high school cellists in Colorado and the number one jazz trombonist in the state, Linn brings the same dedication and passion to music as to climbing. Linn can often be found busking at local farmers’ markets or volunteering their musical talents at charity events, sharing their love for music with the community.
Linn’s journey, both in climbing and music, is a testament to perseverance, adaptability, and the power of pursuing one’s passions.
